When You Deserve It
“In order to become the Heavyweight Champion of the World, I had to first be that Heavyweight World Champion.” — Mike Tyson
You will get what you want only when you deserve it.
There is a way of life and a race out there that only a few choose to embark on or are blessed to be called to such a path.
You have been chosen.
You have the permission inside of yourself to have the green light and go ahead.
Turn down the infinite external communications of the world and draw from within.
For some this may require only moments of stepping away from our vital electronic devices, friends, family, and immediate environment.
For others this may take time and a gradual building of discipline.
As difficult as the previous sentence may be to swallow there is good news on the forefront.
As with a new physical fitness undertaking the most difficult part is getting started.
Once those first several days and initial weeks to follow, there will be a similar sore body type of effect.
However, this is more of a soreness, breaking down, and rebuilding of our strongest muscle of all; Our Minds
The mentality that we are blessed to be able to freely govern ourselves with is a gift in and of itself.
As you read this with access to the internet and an abundance of information previously unknown to history. There are others out there who do not have access to this resource.
As individuals who have traveled down a path and are further along our journey, helping to create opportunity for others is the greatest reward of all.
There are commissions and value in life far greater than simply monetary gain.
While the former statement in no way minimizes the life changing ability money has for every person.
There are rewards in life that cannot be quantified by our monetary system.
What do I mean by this? What could possibly be more rewarding than money?
Each of us hold internal “accounts” within the depths of our very beings.
These invisible holding areas are piling up daily with unquantifiable efforts, intentions, plans, and actions which may seem inconsequential or underappreciated at times.
What can be labeled as good or bad, positive or negative is up to the eyes of the beholder. As individuals we will vary on viewpoints and that is just the way it is.
However, these invisible bank accounts held within us produce very real results.
Just take an inventory of where the years of your life have gone by. Are you 25 years old right now?
That’s a quarter of a century life story that you have first hand experience in and can draw from.
If you are older, that’s great because you have a deeper well of experience to draw from.
If we fail to take the time to pause and reflect on our own journey, we may overlook very valuable information.
Why is it so difficult to do simple activities which we know create progress in today’s world?
I don’t write the previous question above to say that I am an expert in this area and can share with you the secret to making an overnight change.
Instead, I write the above questions as a direct challenge to myself and I expect a clear answer for it.
Focus.
Our focus is being attacked in our modern world by a plethora of external communication that more often than not does not contribute to our physical health, financial well being, or personal growth.
How do I know that it is possible to make a shift and achieve heights you previously only dreamed of?
Because I see you guys out there who inspire me every day.
Taking the time to learn from every person as we cross paths is something I feel blessed to take part in.
Back to the matter at hand, we are facing a time in history where there is an overflowing abundance of opportunities all around us.
If you tune in to the right frequency the opportunity alarm is blaring a siren with flashing lights going off right now screaming your name.
Your name is being screamed to step up to the front lines.
You are up to bat and the bases are loaded.
What is it going to take for us to step up and meet those demands that are required of us on a daily basis?
On an hourly basis..
Minute by minute we should be managing our minutes.
While having a conversation with a good buddy of mine over the phone we were discussing daily routines and habits.
My friend shared with me that he is going to sleep by 8:30pm and rising at 3am every day.
He has seen a drastic change in his personal and professional life by getting a jump start on his day and actively seeking growth.
While at the moment I am far from such a disciplined sleep and wake time, I aim to work on this area with a focused effort.
These types of behaviors are what create an almost compound interest like effect on those internal bank accounts of ours.
Over time these will start to show such drastic results in life that many of us would not believe if we were told today.
We will continue to study, break down, and analyze these topics while also finding ways to measure and monitor these seemingly unquantifiable factors that produce the highest returns in life at a multiple rate.
Take these times as a gift and leverage the opportunity of solitude to go deep inside and re read your story.
Take the ups and the downs and find those net positives unique to only your life and carry them on your journey.
Until next time, keep pushing and progressing..
